HAPPILY EVER AFTER

Together we are thrilled to announce our marriage this April. Neither of us are big party people, so when we thought about our dream wedding day, we imagined a minimalist ceremony after a weekend of our favorite things, followed by a small gathering of our closest friends and family later in the year. We are doing just that! We are thrilled to spend the rest of forever together, and want to share our joyous news with all our people.

Nothing fancy, just love.

We want to share our exciting news with all our friends and family, so we designed this site to be a walk through our story. Scroll below to read about us, or use the buttons to skip the lovey-dovey and get where you’re trying to go.

How We Met

In late 2019, we met at church and kindled an early friendship. After spending some time together, Brant asked Allie on a date. Allie was in the thick of the legislative session and said yes, but asked to postpone making any concrete plans until the next week. Four days later the world shut down for the COVID-19 Pandemic, and both of us moved out of state. We had not exchanged phone numbers, and Allie spent the next couple years feeling bad about ‘ghosting’ Brant. He has no memory of these events.

We are both forever grateful for the good timing that brought us back to the area within a few months of one another. Brant asked Allie out again, we actually exchanged information, and the rest was history.

How He Proposed

We knew we had something special pretty early on and had both tossed around the idea of marriage. On a trip to see the Great American Eclipse, we both had a moment where we knew ‘this is it’ and began talking to our families and planning. In October of 2024, Brant proposed at sunset after a perfect day of adventure in La Jolla, California. Despite her attempt to guess everything or make ‘suggestions’, Allie was very surprised and delighted. Since then, we’ve been working hard and having tons of fun planning all the details.

How We’re Tying the Knot

We decided to combine all our favorite things (bodyboarding, board games, and movie nights) in a private weekend and ceremony with our parents on the Oregon Coast. We are most excited to exchange our vows the morning of our wedding on the waves, just us and the sunrise! Shortly after the two of us will attend a temple ceremony and head to our honeymoon in Bali!

Later in the year we will gather with our closest friends and family in a small and casual celebration of our marriage.

Cheers to forever!
