HAPPILY EVER AFTER
Together we are thrilled to announce our marriage on April 7, 2025!
When thinking about planning our wedding, we dreamt of having a private and elegant family weekend, ceremony on the coast, and a casual (fun!) celebration with all of our favorite people. That is exactly what we are doing! We so are excited to share our news and celebrate with you.
Nothing fancy, just love.
We want to share our exciting news with all our friends and family, so we designed this site to be a walk through our story. Scroll below to read about us, or use the buttons to skip the lovey-dovey and get where you’re trying to go.
How We Met
In late 2019, we met at church and kindled an early friendship. After spending some time together, Brant asked Allie on a date. Allie was in the thick of the legislative session and said yes, but asked to postpone making any concrete plans until the next week. Four days later the world shut down for the COVID-19 Pandemic, and both of us moved out of state. We had not exchanged phone numbers, and Allie spent the next couple years feeling bad about ‘ghosting’ Brant. He has no memory of these events.
We are both forever grateful for the good timing that brought us back to the area within a few months of one another and we quickly became friends. Brant asked Allie out again, we actually exchanged information, and the rest was history.
How He Proposed
We knew we had something special pretty early on and had both tossed around the idea of marriage.
On a trip to see the Great American Eclipse, we both had a moment where we knew ‘this is it’ and began talking to our families and planning. In October of 2024, Brant proposed at sunset after a perfect day of adventure in La Jolla, California. Despite her attempt to guess everything or make ‘suggestions’, Allie was very surprised and delighted.
Since then, we’ve been working hard planning our wedding, going on our honeymoon, and having tons of fun sharing our joy with our families.
How We Tied the Knot
We decided to combine all our favorite things (time on the coast, mango fish tacos, board games, and movie nights) in a private weekend and ceremony with our parents on the Oregon Coast. Unfortunately the tide did not cooperate so we did not end up bodyboarding, but instead we were blessed to have cozy time with family at the house. We exchanged our vows the morning of our wedding on the beach, just us and the sunrise!
The next day, the two of us were sealed for time and all eternity in the Portland, Oregon Temple. Immediately after, we flew to Bali for the honeymoon of our dreams!
We are looking forward to gathering with our closest friends and family in a casual celebration of our marriage.
Cheers to forever!
