HELLO, NICE TO MEET YOU
Wanna snoop to figure out who the heck the person you know is marrying? Trying to find more pictures? We got you.
Brant
Brant was born and raised in Olympia, Washington, but lived in Michigan for a few years where he served his mission. After taking some time to save up and figure out which of his many interests he wanted to pursue for a career, he started working hard at achieving his BSN (and is right about halfway)! In the meantime he works in healthcare as a CNA and keeps Allie on her toes with weekend adventures.
He is interested in almost anything outdoors, board games, creative hands-on hobbies (like leather working, woodworking, and pottery), music, and travel. He does not enjoy heights, hot temperatures, or holding Rosie the Tarantula.
Allie
Allie was born and raised in the Denver area, and moved to Pullman, Washington for school in 2019. Shortly after, she met Brant at a legislative internship in Olympia. After finishing her Bachelor’s degrees, she permanently relocated to Olympia where she works for the state courts (and really loves her job). She since finished her Master’s in Legal Studies, and gives Brant tons of credit for supporting her through that.
In her free time she likes to read, learn to play piano, play Bananagrams, do competitive activities, and plan upcoming travels (usually including pleading Brant to hold Rosie the Tarantula next time they visit Colorado). She loves frogs, and despises hot weather and slow walkers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is Allie changing her last name?
A: Nope! Both of us really like Allie’s last name. Plus it is pretty rare and has some cool history to it, so neither of us had a desire to change it! We will be Brant Brown and Alexandra Donnici.
Q: Where have you guys travelled?
A: We like to take lots of weekend trips to Victoria, BC, Canada, but also love to visit Allie’s family in Colorado and California as regularly as our work schedules allow. For our bigger travel excursions we’ve been to Mexico (on an amazing cruise!), Taiwan (for a long-ish layover so this barely counts), and Indonesia. Up next we hope to go to Cuba and some EU countries. Our long term goal is a trip to Antarctica!
Q: Will you keep living in Washington?
A: For now, yes! We both love the educational and career opportunities available to us right now and we feel at home here. That said, we regularly toss around the idea of moving back east or to Colorado. We probably will go one of those two places for school or work before settling back in the PNW.
Our Elopement
We chose to invite our guests with a special edition newspaper talking about us and our plans for our special weekend! You can see a digital version of our newspaper below. It will have details about us, and how we spent our weekend as a family!
